Hi gang, it's been a while! Hope you are all well.
The time has come for me to sell my Kenwood TS-530s and matching
VFO-240. I figured I'd give first option to the locals before posting
elsewhere. From a ham, to a ham.
This pair is in very good cosmetic and functional condition. THis was
my first and has been my only radio for the last 7 years and I have
NEVER had any issues.
Detail:
It has the 500Hz optional CW filter installed (YK-88C). These have
been selling for about $65.
The TS-530s was serviced after I purchased it in 2003 by Affordable
Radio Repair
via Jess Miley KØTAA. Was given a full tune up with full 150w output.
The only
note on the barely legible service slip was a high pitch coming from
the transformer core of the internal power supply. I have noticed
this on occasion, especialy when cold. However, functionally, this
has never been a problem. I had the radio on the air last weekend
during SSB Sweepstakes and it was quiet.
Also included:
- Spare tubes(1 driver and 2 finals)
- VFO cable
- MC-30s hand microphone
- Original TS-530S manual(indicates purchase in 1982 from AES).
- Both original Kenwood boxes!
If you or someone you know has an interest, let me know. There have been (7)
of these radio's sold on EBAY in November. Average selling price was
$327. The high was $450, and the low was $212 for a radio with some
corrosion issues. The
last VFO-240 was in October and sold for $142. So, together with the
filter, $534 as an average.
The no-haggle price for you guys is $425 cash. The haggle price is
higher :)...
I can also send pics to anyone interested.
Thanks,
Lance
