Hello all,
Perfect weather for the hamvention this year. General attendence is up about 15% (actual numbers are not available yet), number of inside vendors increased this year, and outside flea market was up by better than 10%. The smart money says that everything will continue rising for the next few years. I had a lot of fun and was able to walk around and see more this year. I am looking forward to next year. I am not sure if I'll attend the Contest University or not. If you have never attending the CTU and enjoy contesting then you should attend. Pam ask Anna how she enjoyed the CTU and the Hamvention (ask her if she is practicing her paper orgami?). Went to several forums and I think they were better this year than they have been during the past seveal years. Saw a lot of equipment leaving with new owners. Not sure where everyone was getting there money from. But, all of the vendors that I know were very happy with their sales this year and promised to bring even more equipment next year. If you can make it put next year on your calendar. The dates next year will be 20, 21, and 22 May for the Hamvention. The Contest University will be on 19 May. If you are going to make it to Dayton let me know and we can get together and have a cup of coffee (I'll buy!).
I gave out all of the flyers promoting the Colorado QSO Party. Hope to work a lot of you during the party! I think that the number of stations will be up this year and the way propagation has been improving this should be a GREAT year.
I am still unpacking. Taking my time and trying to do it the right way. So, I do not have my station setup yet. As soon as I get everything operastional I'll let you know what frequencies I will be monitoring (of course I'll spend a lot of time on 28.345 and 28.400). The room I am setting up for my computers and radios is smaller than I thought. So, I'm having to really work on getting things to fit and still be usable. Still hoping on getting a FLEX 5000 in the furture.

73,
Dave N0EOP
