The Ten=Ten contest just might be pretty good. Last evening in about 30
minutes I contacted stations in Wi, In, Tn, Al, Fl, Ga and VA. Last Sunday a
friend from back east made contacts in 18 states. So, if propagation
continues through the weekend with the added stations on the air, their should be
plenty of contacts. Hope to work you during the contest. Contacts count
towards the contest even if a person does not have a ten ten number.

There is a Ten-Ten Contest this weekend. Not sure how much activity it
will
generate, but if you need your Ten-Ten number, this may be a way to get
it.
You can find the 10X web site at www.ten-ten.org. There is a contest
calendar on the site along with rules.

The big one:

The weekend of Feb. 13-14 is the CQ WW WPX RTTY Contest. This starts the
CQ
WW Season. This is a big contest and the mode is RTTY. It's a fun
contest,
and you can run WriteLog or N1MM Logger. If anybody needs assistance
setting up, please contact me ASAP, as this is not something you want to
do
at the very last minute. I can be reached by landline at 520-0288.
Usually
between the hours of 9 A.M. and 9 P.M. Best to call in the afternoon if
possible.

This contest is to work as many different world-wide prefixes as you can.
A
single Op station can work 30 of the 48 hours contest. Multi-Op stations
may operate the full 48 hours. The rules are at:
http://www.cqwpxrtty.com/rules.htm.

Hope to see some PPRAA members in this one and work you.

Dick
