Does anybody have a Ham IV or Ham V rotor with either a DCU-1
control box or an analog Hy-Gain control box?

If you have a Ham V it comes with the DCU-1 Control box.
A Ham IV is the same rotor, but with an analog control box.

I have the DCU-1 unit and it's acting flakey. I spoke with
Norm at Norms Rotor Repair Service and he said that what
I need to do is find somebody that has a working DCU-1 or
a working Analog control box with an 8 pin connector
socket on the rear. Four pins are horizontal and 4 pins
are vertical.

Norm said that the Ham IV and the Ham V are identical rotors,
but it's called a Ham V if it comes with the DCU-1 unit or a
Ham IV if it has an analog/manual control box.

Can somebody be of assistance? I would need to either
bring my DCU-1 over to your place to see if it works with
your Ham V or if you have one that I could borrow long
enough to just see if I can determine if I have a flakey rotor
box or a flakey rotor.

the 8 pins on the rotor cable connector look like this:

- - | |

I hope that comes out OK. I'm a lousy artist. :)

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Dick
