[PPRAANet] 1st Quarter of 2010 on 10 Meters

Hello all,
   And 10 meters is supposed to be DEAD! Of course, Todd is in GA. Here in
CO I don't think anyone has done this good. But, 10 meters is anything but
DEAD. You just have to listen and call CQ a lot and you will make contacts.

35 States Contacted from here so far in 2010, GA, AL, NC, FL, NH, 
MO, TX, MA, NY, NJ, CT, VA, MI, LA, CA, NV, RI, AZ, OR,WA, 
OK, TN, AR, ID, VT, VT, IL, PA, MD, WI, IN, NE, CO, KS, and OH.
Those are ALL Contacts with stations who have 10-10 numbers.
2010 different 10-10# Contacts so far is 248, that leaves 1,752 to go!
That is kind of a disappointment for 2010, so far , but compaired
to 2009, it is a big improvement since less than 100 are groundwave.
In 2009, it was groundwave or pretty much nothing for the first few
months.10 Meters already has some sporatic openings to the east and west
coast! I reached 2500 in Jan of 2010, since then 80 more New 10-10#'s
collected.Only 22 New ones in March, so March has been a slow month,other
than the two DX contest that was a lot of FUN !
I made 108 contacts in the ARRL DX Contest and sent $7 in for a 
ARRL DX pin that I will pin to my hat that I never wear, hi hi.
The CQWW Contest was even better with openings into South Africa,
Australia, New Zealand, HI, the Pitcairn Island and St.Helena Island. 
I did not make as many contacts, but the DX locations did improve. 
So March and April 2010 maybe the quite before the storm, because
in May of 2009 was when all the openings started, it was a very 
busy summer last year with over 1,000 Contacts made from here. 
2010 has some big openings to fill, but it has already got off to a good
start. Finally , I was up past midnight Saturday and 10 Meters was open form
GA to TX at Midnight for about 20 minutes, but not many was on because of
the Easter Holiday. So Sporatic-E might be gonna start early in April
2010!?! It is worth a few extra CQ attempts.
