[PPRAANet] Enlisting help with tower removal

I was contacted recently by a woman, Ginger Browning, wife of Joe
Browning W8HOJ, who is interested in recruiting help to remove a tower
from her back yard. Joe doesn't do any ham activities any more and
they would like the tower removed. Some of the old-timers in the area
might know who Joe is. He's been around for nearly 40+ years in the
ham radio community, just not active lately.

I told her I would try to contact the amateur radio community and see
if there is someone qualified and experienced in removing a tower, and
see if it's possible to recruit enough amateurs to help remove it.

The tower appears to be about 50 ft tall with a tribander and another
antenna or two mounted on it. Not a job for someone that hasn't done
this before.

If anyone has experience in this kind of project, or KNOWS someone
that has experience, and would be willing to help her out, please let
me know. And if anyone else would be willing to provide some muscle
once we find someone to direct the project, also please let me know.

Ideally she would like to have it down before winter sets in. She is
also willing to assist financially if any special equipment is needed.
And as to the disposition of the tower and antennas, she says that
it's up to us what to do with it.

(Sorry for any duplication on this message - I'm sending to a wide
group of people and will send it also to a couple of club reflectors.)
