[PPRAANet] Hamfest Update 2/8/2009

Just an update on the hamfest status:

Dennis Major, Doug Nielsen and I attended the hamfest up in Brighton today 
(Aurora Repeater Assn) and sold 375 tickets today bringing in $215.  Dan 
Scott W0RO and his wife Pam helped with the ticket sales at the January 
Northern Colorado ARC hamfest, at which we sold 175 tickets to bring in 
$104.  Those two events has brought our grand total raffle ticket sales to 
928 for a total of $514.

I will need at least a couple more volunteers to help out at the next 
hamfest, the Longmont ARC hamfest at the Boulder Co. Fairgrounds on April 4. 
If you can help out, please let me know immediately so I can start planning 
for that one.

Also, the ARRL division convention is coming up (you know this as the HamCon 
Convention in Estes Park) from May 29 - 31, and I'll need much more than the 
typical 2 or 3 people for that one, since we'll have a table that we'd like 
to have continuously manned during the convention.  So I'd like to get folks 
that are willing to sit at the table for hour-long shifts, take as many as 
you'd like, but it's going to be more than just a handful of people.  There 
is potential to sell a good amount of tickets, given the quality of the 
prizes we have this year.  That Icom 756 ProIII is a nice radio that gets a 
lot of good reviews.  And of course the two D-STAR radios will also be quite 
an attraction.
