All,
I am pleased to forward the following message from Steve, K0SWR.
Being on the planning committee has been rather fun and nerve
wracking as the same time! It has been exciting watching the list
of speakers and technical presentation grow. Also, watching or
bringing ideas to the planning table, then having them "come to life"
was definitely a highlight!
I hope to see you all at HamCon Colorado, Estes Park starting on May 29th.
NOTE: The PPRAA has put together a ride finder section on their forum.
If you plan on driving and want to share the cost, or if you want to go
for the weekend or just Saturday but do not have a ride, send me a message
and I will get you information concerning cost sharing.

Dear Friends,
After 18 months of planning and preparation, HamCon Colorado 2009, the
ARRL Rocky Mountain Division Convention is almost upon us! The big
event will happen May 29-31, 2009 in gorgeous Estes Park, CO. Many of
you are already registered and have your accommodations booked.
If you've not already made your HamCon Colorado 2009 reservation, or
your hotel room reservation, time is running out for your best
opportunities!
On April 28th, our host hotel (The Holiday Inn in Estes Park) will
release the remaining rooms blocked for HamCon Colorado to general
public sales. Our amazing special rate of $89/night will still be
good, but rooms will be on a space-available basis only. If you'd
like to stay at the Holiday Inn, wait no longer! Call them today
(Sunday, April 26th) or tomorrow (Monday, April 27th) to avoid
disappointment. Call the hotel directly at (800) 803-7837 or (970)
586-2332, and mention that you're with HamCon Colorado to get our
preferred rate.
Then, be sure to get your HamCon Colorado registration in too! You
can register on-line at www.HamConColorado.org, or you can fill out a
printed form and mail it in. But, our discounted $15 advanced
