This is a reminder that the Grand Mesa Contesters Club/Front Range will meet 
Saturday June 7 at 1:00 pm to 3:00pm at the Castle Rock Village Inn a couple 
of blocks west of I-25, exit 182.   We set the meeting time so it would not 
conflict with the PPRAA's Megafest Swapmeet at Monument.  Try to get there 
about 12:30 to get your lunch before we start the meeting.

The meeting will give us a chance to meet some of our new members as well as 
an opportunity to review some of the club's activities.  A couple of things 
on the agenda so far include a status report on our contest club, operator 
plans for the upcoming ARRL VHF QSO Party, plaque sponsorship for the 
Colorado QSO Party in September and other ARRL/CQ/NCJ contests, picnic, and 
a presentation by Phil N0KE on dx contest stations that he has visited and 
operated.   We also want to spend some time talking about the club's 
participation with the Rocky Mountain Division Ham convention in May 2009. 
GMCC has already agreed to help with sponsoring the W1AW operation at the 
convention and sharing the expense of a contester/dxers hospitality suite 
with Mile High DX Association.  We would like to review where we might be 
able to help with other program activities or presentations in the contest 
or vhf areas.  Bob K0NR is one of the program managers for the Hamcon 2009 
and he hopes to be there to kick around some of the ideas with us.

Lunch is from the menu and is on you.  Be sure to ask for the meeting room 
in the back.  Visitors are welcome!
