Field Day is quickly approaching.  As always, the PPRAA Field Day activities are open to all Amateur Radio Operators, people interested in Amateur Radio, media, and public officials.  Field Day will again be hosted by the Tri-Lakes Fire District.  I was unable to attend last year due to inconsiderate relatives scheduling a wedding Field Day weekend, but last year's Field Day sounded like a great time and a great event!  

The last full weekend of June is Field Day weekend.  For us, Field Day setup will start Friday the 27th around noon with all systems tested by evening.  The 24 hour contest part starts at noon on the 28th.  Take down is normally complete between 1400 and 1500 on the 29th.

Need immediately:
- RF officer – provide RF engineering expertise prior to Field Day. 
- HF Digital and/or CW station.  Ideally the station would be capable to do either.
- Satellite station.  We need a minimum of 1 contact for the 100 point bonus.  Anyone that has knowledge of working satellites using anything from a hand-held with a hand-held antenna to using a tracking array would be a good candidate for the station coordinator.
- Safety Officer for planning and making sure we all remain safe throughout the exercise.

I'm compiling a list of positions open and filled and hope to post the completed list later this week.

Please volunteer with one or more of the many positions.  Even if you can not attend Field Day weekend, your help and expertise will be valuable during pre-Field Day activities.
