Field Day setup starts Friday at noon!

There is a lot of work involved getting everything set up, but with
enough people showing up helping it goes so much easier and more fun
too. One thing that will make it a lot easier is using the fire truck
to raise the towers (can you say "Kodak Moment").

Field Day Saturday should be a lot of fun.
- 3 HF stations (Digital, SSB/CW, and SSB) Send me an email or drop by
and sign up for a time slot to operate
- VHF/UHF and if "the magic band" is open there will be a flurry of
activity.
- The Satellite will be in operation. I find this fascinating. Drop by
the station, there is a lot to this one!
- If you have friend and family that are wondering about this thing
called Amateur Radio, have them drop by and get on the air.

Emergency Services
Learn about emergency services, from the on-site Emergency Operations
Center, to the El Paso Co. mobile Communication and Command center.

Other activities:
- D-STAR hands on Voice/Digital, Geocaching, Crochet, horseshoes, there
is a bowling alley next door so bring the family!
- If you want to know about some of the various Red Cross disaster
training classes, they are tentatively scheduled (due to recent weather
related events, the trainer may not be available).

Yup, there's more. But I get harassed about my long emails...*yes, it
could be longer*.

Oh yeah! There's food too and don't forget the Saturday evening
potluck. Check the web site (ppraa.org) for times and items to bring.

Plenty of activities, Plenty of fun! Hope to see you there.

73!
