[PPRAANet] magnetic fields

I hear an interesting fact today.  The earth's magnetic field has changed
polarity thousands of time in the past 400 billion years.  The last change
was 780,000 years ago.

There is a very good program on the History Channel "Magnetics".  I have a
copy on DVD if anyone wants to see it.  Can you imagine where we would be
without magnetic. We would not have motors, electricity, how would you stick
your Childs art work on the refrigerator? What refrigerator? Transmitters
would not work, cell phones (maybe that would be a good thing).  The cell
phone industry said Yesterday half the world's population has a Cell Phone.
Magnets play a very important part of everyday life.
