I would like to thank the Grand Mesa Contesters of Colorado for sponsoring 
two First Place plaques I was awarded this evening at the PPDXG meeting here 
in Colorado Springs.  I managed to achieve a First Place in In-State, CW 
Mode, Low Power-Single Operator AND In-State, Digital Mode, Low Power, 
Single Operator in the first Colorado QSO Party back in July.  These plaques 
will be prominently displayed in my shack.  They are beautiful and I'm 
extremely pleased to have been able to put some effort into the contest and 
beat some very well qualified operators who, literally, have kicked my 
behind in other contests.

I would also like to thank the Pikes Peak Radio Amateur Association (PPRAA) 
for sponsoring the Colorado QSO Party.  And last, but by no means least, the 
organizers and team that made the Colorado QSO Party a total success for a 
first time event.  I will definitely be back to participate next year, God 
willing.  A special thanks to Jim, AB0UK and Dave, N0EOP for their hard work 
in making sure that everything was done properly.  Also the web master and 
others who played such an important part in this contest.
