Ken,
This is the School Club Roundup. It is co-sponsored by the ARRL. They are
operating phone, CW, and PSK. I have worked about 10 stations on 20 meter
PSK. The contest started on Monday at 1300 UTC and ends on Friday at 2400
UTC. I don't know who has the most fun the kids or the hams they work. Most
of the activity will be during school hours and until about 6 pm local
times. Hope that everyone gives this a try and helps the school clubs make
another contact. Award certificates will be issued for separate Elementary,
Middle/Intermediate/Junior High School, High School and College/University
levels for USA and DX entries. Last year I worked several colleges (again
this year I have worked two so far) and the Naval Academy.

TNX & 73,
Dave N0EOP

Subject: [PPRAANet] Schools

Good Day everyone,

This afternoon while on 20 meters I ran across a contest that will be
running the rest of the week. It seems there are a number of schools with
Ham Radio Programs as a course. The students are earning points with every
contact. I don't know all the facts right now. When I find more
information I will post it. These Children can be found on 40 and 20 meters
(towards the low end). I spoke with two Children from different schools,
both were about 11, they got a kick out of using the radio. Let's all get
on the radios and help these kids earn points. So far all I know, they
will be operating around 0630 Local and again around 1330 Local. The
Stations I talked with were K4WBM in Va, and KB3BRT in Pa.

Thanks and 73's

Ken
