All,

Field Day is on the horizon and Mike (wv7t) and I are still looking for
a site. We are looking for a backup site in town or close to town.

An application to the El Paso County Parks has been submitted for
operating at Fountain Creek Regional Park. They said they have never
had this type of activity in the past, that it sounded interesting, and
will decide within 3 or 4 weeks (still have a week or two wait time). I
think the odds are about 50/50.

NOTE: If we use the park, setup may need to begin Saturday Morning
6:00AM instead of Noon Friday. If this is the case I will be trying to
get an antenna "shake down" party going a couple weeks prior to Field Day.

Do you use SSTV, ATV, APRS, or other modes that can be used as
demonstration? We people to volunteer for demonstration modes. Think
about what you can provide and then volunteer.

Station coordinators are needed for all stations. A coordinator is
someone who will arrange things for a single station, you do not have to
bring anything, just be a good con-man.

Also looking for a safety officer. My application to El Paso County
Parks indicated we would have one, so I will need someone to say Yes
sooner than later.

Stations coordinator
HF-SSB <open>
HF-Digital/CW (Jim) AB0UK
GOTA <open>
Satellite (?Tom?) N0NTX
VHF/UHF <open>

NOTE: For the HF stations, PPRAA has a lot of the antenna equipment
(towers, antennas) Needed would be tables, lights, radio, antenna
tuner, pencils, computer with N1MM loaded.

Please reply to me or Mike (wv7t) is you can help out in any way. Oh..
we need an overall coordinator for the site as I'll be out of town for
Field Day, and Mike may not be available as well.

Thanks,
73,
Dan
