Mike & Jim,
What sort of emergency communications display is this? When you say "other
services" will also be on display, what are you talking about here? Is this a
public safety (police, fire, ambulance, etc) kind of display? If not, that what
are the "other services?" Is this something with a limited audience, like
RVers? Sams Club is a members-only club, right? Will the display be inside,
where only Sams Club members can see it, or outdoors, where the general public
can wander over? Big or little display? Lots of equipment, modes, antennas,
digital modes, packet, APRS, IRLP, all under some tents or EZ-Ups, or single
table, single radio indoors? It'd be interesting to hear more about what you
have in mind before folks really have an idea as to whether they can help or
not, especially given there's only 4 days to prepare. Handouts? Banners?
Are you interested in asking for help from ARES or RACES? Or have you already
talked with ARES EC Tom Dawson or RACES Officer Henry Russell?
Maybe these are too many questions to ask on the reflector. Or, as you say, I'm
"dropping you a line".
Thanks!
Rob

Subject: [PPRAANet] Emergency communications display help wanted
On Saturday July 28th in the morning Jim, AB5SI, is looking for help with an
emergency communications display at a Sams Club store here in the Springs.
Other services will be on site displaying their equipment.
If you are interested drop me a line.
