Hi All,

 

I’m getting into a new project, I have a ATAS-120 antenna on my truck.
According to Yaesu the antenna should not work the way I have it mounted.
They claim the best place to put it is above the roof line.  I do not
disagree with this.  The problem then arises when I try to put the truck in
the garage.  I would have to remove the antenna each time I drove into the
garage.  A few companies make a motorized mount that will tilt the antenna
by 90 digs.  Only problem they are all light weight units and will not
handle the ATAS120 antenna.  I am looking for a small DC motor and some
gears.  If the motor shaft is ¼” I think that would do the trick.  If
someone has a small DC motor please let me know.
