Yes, Its the Gonset Communicator Net...
Dust off your old Gonset 2 Meter Communicator (Gooney Bird) and work some 2
meter AM Phone again.
The net meets on 146.350 MHz at 8pm MST in Colorado Springs.
Find that old 8075 kHz (FT243) rock and join me on the net.
There is nothing like it on the band !
Saturday at noon.
This is a QRP operation too, less than 5 Watts.
FYI,
Gonset Communicators were the preeminent VHF radios in the 60's.
It is Rad Hard and built by W6VR on Main Street, Burbank, California.
There were gray ones and yellow ones and white ones, but they all worked
just the same...fa la..la.
The Gonset Communicator took over 2 meters in California, all the ARC4's
and SCR522's were left in the dust. There were probably more Gooney Birds
there than anywhere in the world.
They are cube shaped and they were found everywhere, It was the favorite
picnic table portable station. i used one from on a train, from the LA River,
from Mt. Pinos,
and on the beach. How sweet the tuning was and can you remember staring into
that Green 6E5 magic eye tube.
Gonset also made rectangular fixed frequency models (3111/3112) for
Aircraft, and one on 220 MHz. They also made a Business Communicator. The Civil
Defense models were all painted yellow.
You can see all the history at the Gonset museum and pictures are at

ps: There is a Gonset reflector at gonset at mailman.qth.net
If you want to buy one they are on ebay but the chances are they will be
broken.
