Subject: Local Denver FCC PART 15 PRESENTATION - WITH FCC VAN
The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the EMC Society, IEEE, is opening up a meeting
whose subject is of great interest to all hams: FCC Part 15 Enforcement.
An additional "feature" will be the presence of the FCC monitoring and DFing
van which will be open for tours onsite!
How can you miss this roughly 1.5 hour presentation with ample time offered
for Q&A? Its even free of charge (hams are cheap so how can you turn this
down)! It will be presented by two key players from the Denver FCC office
(and you only thought that had gone to paper shuffling?) - SEE BELOW. All
that is required is that Larry Ernst receive an RSVP (lernst at ieee.org) in
time to "respond" as noted below.
WHEN: October 17 (Tuesday) evening - see below
WHERE: Front Range Community - see below
TIME: Pizza (fee) 1830 Meeting: 1900 local time
I've tried to cover a key representative from each of the ham clubs along
the Colorado Front Range from Colorado Springs to the Fort Collins / Greeley
area. This should be an outstanding program of great interest to all hams.
If there are additional organizations interested, please feel free to
forward the information. Please try to get this information in your
upcoming newsletters and/or online reflectors in time for members to
respond. Our largest room option can seat 75 bodies and I must confess that
IEEE members will have priority if there are more than a total of 75
attendees, so PLEASE RSVP in time. Please direct any questions to either
Monrad or myself as noted below.

I am pleased to announce that Ms. Nikki Shears (Denver FCC Branch Chief) and
Mr. Jay Hockanson (FCC Field Agent) will speak to our EMC chapter on 47CFR15

immediately! They will even bring over their Mobile Digital Direction
