Are you not able to make the Field Day in the mountains? Don't have a lot of
time to spare. Haven't been on the various bands. You don't have a higher
class license.
NO PROBLEM!
A small group of us will be operating Field Day from my home again this year
from near I-25 and Fillmore and have everything all set up. We will be
operating Voice, Code, and Digital, HF, 6m, 2m, and 440. Anyone licensed or not
can participate. I need 3 people for each of the 2 main stations and a single
operator for the VHF FM station. We had a ball last year and took 1st Place
contest wide in our category. This is a chance to see how operations could be
done in an emergency from a home station running battery power and trying
various antenna types. We tried a 30 foot ladder last year!
If you'd like to join us please send me an e-mail to let me know which day
(Sat-Sun) and about what time so I can have a soda ready for you.
If you are stuck in town but can't make it please work us on 146.400 MHz
simplex. We will not be calling CQ Field Day but just announcing "WV7T Field Day
station listening." All you have to do is say "WV7T you are 59 (or different
signal report) Colorado."
Hope to see/hear you this weekend. We will confirm contacts with a custom
qsl card upon receiving a qsl.
