[PPRAANet] Field Day - Needs

Big needs for Field Day:

#1  FOOD!!!! (Biggest Need at this time) Mona is a professional caterer 
and her husband is unable to help her this year.  What I would like to 
do is get 2 people per meal (Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 
Sunday breakfast) to volunteer to help her out.  If you will be there, 
and don't mind KP duty around one of the meals, please volunteer!!

#2 VHF station coordinator.  This is one I don't have equipment for.  
Although the coordinator really doesn't need equipment,  the coordinator 
needs the ability to acquire equipment.  MARC will be supplying tent and 
power, we need antennas, coax, radios, chairs, table... etc.

#3 Other family activities, good for all ages.  The current plan is a 
repeat of last year's Geocaching event plus we are going to set up a few 
fox hunts.  The play ground is just a short walk, but if your children 
will be at the playground please make sure you, or you know someone will 
be playing supervisor.

#4 Points Coordinator:  There are a lot of points outside the realm of 
on-th-air contacts.  Someone needs to make sure we get as many of these 
points as possible.  I think we should be able to get all but points for 
"on public land".

#5 Safety Coordinator:  I'm a "try it and see what happens" kinda guy.  
I really don't have the best attitude for safety concerns, so could 
someone that can actually follow good safety practices step forward and 
volunteer to play Safety Czar?

Note:  There is another radio group in town and many of us know, and are 
good friends with some of the members.  This year they decided not to do 
Field Day.  As a means of extending a friendly hand, we have invited 
them to be guests of PPRAA and MARC.  You should start to see some email 
with a To: or Cc: to PPDXG shortly.
