Hamcon 2006, ARRL Rocky Mountain Division Convention
Estes Park, Colorado, June 9-11
*** Early Bird Registration Ends March 1st! ***
-------------------------------------------
Hamcon 2006, the ARRL Rocky Mountain Division Convention, is fast approaching! If you're into ham radio, you'll want to get yourself into the Holiday Inn at Estes Park, CO, June 9-11 for the biggest Colorado ham radio event since the 2003 convention!!!
Hamcon festivities kick off at 5 PM on Friday night, June 9th, with the FCC's Riley Hollingsworth (Special Counsel for Enforcement) and his session "War Stories with Riley", our ARRL Division's Vice Director Brian Mileshosky, and US Air Force Academy Physics Professor Dr. Evelyn Patterson (grand daughter of ARRL co-founder Clarence Tuska). Harold Kramer, ARRL Chief Operating Officer, will also be speaking at the convention.
As if that weren't enough, we've got an outstanding lineup of technical and operating sessions, a VE session, opportunities to operate W1AW/Ø, a foxhunt, lots of clubs, manufacturers and vendors exhibiting, almost 50 companies and individuals donating prizes (so far), and much more!!! The list of exhibitors and prize donors grows week-by-week. Check out and monitor the latest information at www.hamconcolorado.org!
If you call the Estes Park Holiday Inn directly, you'll get some very special room rates, and you can save even more money (and get a free convention pin!) with your early bird registration. Early bird registration ends on March 1st! Why not visit online registration right now? Just click the following link, and you'll be almost done! http://www.hamconcolorado.org/online-registration.htm. Mail-in registration is also available with a downloadable form on the website.
Nestled just outside the Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park is a perfect destination for a memorable family vacation too! For a glimpse of the area, take a look at the W1AW/Ø QSL card we'll be using: www.hamconcolorado.org/w1aw.htm.
