[PPRAANet] Megafest??

Hi Guys,

I just ran into a notice that the Northern Colorado ARC is having their 2007 
swapfest on January 20th.  Their swapfeast is usually later in the year.  
BTW, Aurora Repeater Assoc. is having their swapfest on February 11th.  Time 
is really tight if we are going to sell tickets for our raffle at the first 
swapfest.  The raffle license application went into the mail today.  With 
the holidays that may take 2-3 weeks to complete.  Who ever checks the 
club's mailbox needs to do so very frequently after the holidays.  The 
raffle license number number that is issued with the license must be on the 
license.  The prizes must also be listed on the tickets, along with the 
location/time.

I see several things we need to do.

1.  Get the license number.  --  in work
2.  Contract for the facility at Lewis Palmer High School.  Status ??
3.  Contact CMRG to determine their involvement in prizes this year.  
Status??
4.  Get ticket printing details.  Chris, can you have that ready when we 
need it?
5.  Purchase prizes.  They must be in our hands and displayed when we sell 
tickets.
6.  Obtain the ticket address computer and printer.  Rob can we get that?

There are other things to do but these need to be done in the next 30 days.

Folks, it is my opinion we need to get this moving or we are going to miss 
ticket selling opportunities.  I have previously volunteered to be the 
raffle manager (not the swapfest chair)  and to go to all swapfest to sell 
tickets and to present a forum on antennas and to help staff the club's 
table.  I think that is all I can handle folks.......don't think my health 
can tolerate being the chair person.  If someone wants to volunteer for the 
chairperson and you are not sure as to how to proceed I will help guide you 
as I've been directly involved with at least four swapfest sponsored by the 
PPRAA.
