[PPRAANet] Flashing Light QSO

Bob, Paul, et al, (does that qualify me as a poet?)

To answer your question, it helps to pick a color (of light). Since blue is
my favorite color, I went with a wavelength of about 500 nano-meters (nm).
(It's also easier to divide 300,000 by that!) Since visible light runs from
about 400 - 700 nm, and a lot of people seem to prefer the color blue, we
could just call it the "500 nm band".

So, divide 300,000 Km/s (speed of light) by 500 nm (wavelength) and you will
have the frequency in Hertz.

30 x 10(5) / 5 x 10(-7) = 6 x 10(12) (parens = exponents)

So, that is 6 tera Hertz or 6THz.

P.S. I keep a little 500nm HT on my keyring!
