[PPRAANet] Needed = Rig for Disaster Relief

Gang:

We need a rig for Disaster Relief.  I am talking about a commercial rig
like an Icom 706, or an old 440 or 450, or maybe a 940, or something like
that.  We are still sending lots of volunteers of all kinds to the Gulf
area.  They are feeding folks, caring for children, rebuilding, doing
"mud-out", you name it.  But many of them are going into situations where
they have no communications back into New Mexico.  So as a Blue Cap I feel
the need to build up a basic communications unit which will allow us to
communicate directly to these volunteers, who basically go to Louisiana,
Mississippi and Alabama for ~ 12 days at a time.

So could someone simply donate a rig in this general category?  I don't
have any gear like this.  I do have a number of wire antennas which will
work okay, along with a number of pushup masts.  We will be using several
light weight trailers which can be pulled by smaller pickup trucks or vans.
We have 6 licensed hams, among them myself, of course!  But what we don't
have funds for is the rig itself.  I am hoping someone can simply donate a
rig you no longer need at your station.
