Sorry for the duplication of reflectors...

Hi All,

As you probably know Rob Roller N7LV has decided to step
down as Mission Coordinator for the PPIHC. I have agreed to
try and do what he did and coordinate and organize the efforts
of the Pikes Peak region amateur radio operators to provide
PPIHC safety support.

I am soliciting volunteers. Within a few days a website full of
information and forms will be linked to the PPRAA website
(www.qsl.net/ppraa). Right now I would like to receive an
e-mail from you with the following information: name, callsign,
address, phone, e-mail address and any preferences you have
concerning assignment.

I will make up a mailing list to keep you up to date on events.
I will be at the next few PPRAA and MARC club meetings and
EPCRACES meeting to give you forms or pick up completed
forms from you. I need to have all completed forms by June 12
so I can turn them in and get credentials prior to the safety/net
briefings, which are scheduled Saturday, June 18 at 1300:
Monday, June 20 at 1830: and Thursday, June 23 at 1830. All
safety/net briefings will be conducted at the Colorado Springs
Police Department Falcon Division Community Room located
at 7850 Goddard Street. This is just West of the Chapel Hills
Mall on Kelly Johnson Blvd. One of these meetings is mandatory
for all operators new to the PPIHC. Obviously, I would like
everyone to attend at least one of the briefings. I hope to have
T-shirts, credentials and helper tickets available to pass out at
these briefings. That would help make Linda's KB0RKW job
a lot easier.

Anyway, this is the first of many communications to come your
way in the upcoming weeks prior to the race. But the only
reflector posting.

Thanks to everyone for their help and support. This is one event
that sure gets a lot of visibility. Please plan to help if you can this
year. As in the past, you can work the hill climb and still have
time to participate in Field Day.

Thanks and 73 ... Pat KC0MIR
