This months PPRAA Foxhunt will be Sunday, January
23,2005. The fox will begin transmitting at 1:00PM
MST. Check-ins will begin at 12:30PM. Pre-hunt
briefing will be at 12:50PM. Starting location will
be at the picnic pavilion just north of the boathouse
on the west side of Prospect Lake in Memorial Park.
The hunt is open to anyone. You do not need to be a
member of the PPRAA or have an amateur license. This
is a good opportunity to introduce family and friends
to amateur radio.

Scoring will be by adding time to the distance drove.
Tenths of miles drove will be recorded. For example,
should you find the fox in 92 minutes and drive 14.7
miles your score will be 106.7. Lowest score wins and
gets "Foxy" (rotating trophy) and sets up the next
hunt.

As much as possible form up your teams in advance and
have your equipment in top shape before the hunt. So
get your yagi's, attenuators, HTs and what others
devices you use ready and be ready to launch on que.

There may be some walking of 100-200 feet so wear you
walking shoes. Bring a coat, hat and gloves as
necessary.

After the hunt we plan to adjourn to a nearby
restaurant to digest the hunt and solve world
problems.

Should the weather not coorporate on that day we will
reschedule for Saturaday, January 29, 2005.

See you there and 73,

Jim, AB0UK
