[PPRAANet] PPRAA Simplex Announcements

Your weekly friendly reminder that the PPRAA Simplex
Net meets every Thursday at 7:00PM local time on
146.58 MHZ. Alternate frequency is 146.55 should the
primary be unavailable.  You do not need to be a
member of the PPRAA to participate.

The Tech Talk feature this week will be about
transmission lines and will start a series about them
and antennas.  We expect this series to last about
four weeks.  Hopefully, we can get the script loaded
in the Tech Talk section of the PPRAA website before
the start of the net.  Future tech talks will present
packing and shipping tips for amateur equipment and
soldering to include PL-259 connectors.  Other topics
we are working on include repeaters,Echolink and
propagation.

Please contact me if you have a topic that you would
like to present during tech talk or would like to be
presented please or if you would like to help with NCS
duties on the net.  This is a good way to learn NCS
duties in a low stress environment.  My email if

There will be no ARRL Audio News this week as it was
not produced by the ARRL due to their holiday
schedule.
