Just a friendly reminder of the PPRAA Simplex Net
every Thursday at 7PM MDT on 146.58 MHZ. (Alternate
frequency is 146.55 MHZ should the primary be
unavailable.) Please take a few minutes and check-in.
Each week we have the ARRL Audio News. This week's
Tech Talk will conclude "Ground Loops." Last week we
talked about why ground loops are a problem and what
causes them. This week we will talk about how to
eliminate them. Of course, all this will be from an
amateur radio view point.
Next week we will discuss the fundamentals of putting
up a tower. In the future we hope to have topics such
as RACES/ARES, SkyWarn, packing electronic equipment
for shipment and a number of other topics. If you
have a topic suggestion or would like to present a
tech talk please contact me, Jim Harris at
AB0UK at yahoo.com or Patrick Kelly at KC0MIR at arrl.net
Any licensed ham is welcome to check-in to the net.
You do NOT need to be a member of the PPRAA to
participate. Spread the word to anyone not on the
above reflectors. So, mark your calender, stop by and
enjoy the fun and maybe learn a new thing or two.
See you there and 73,
Jim, AB0UK
