Hello PPRAA members and guests.

Just a friendly reminder about tonight's (March 10) meeting at the El Paso
County Health Department auditorium at 301 S. Union, across from Memorial
Park (and Prospect Dry-Lake) at 7:00 PM (1900 hours for the more militant
members!).

As Pete McCollum N0TDM already indicated, the program is his, and is all
about CIA radio equipment, and how it was used by Agency communicators in
the 50's and 60's. As a precursor, Pete had the lead articles in both the
February and March Zero-Beats. I would strongly recommend having read both
articles before tonight's program.

I have a good variety of "door prizes" for the meeting. Please remember to
take a look and get as many tickets as you can - the proceeds are great for
providing pizza and soda for the swapfest setup party (scheduled for June
11 @ 4 or 5:00PM - the Friday night before the fest).

As you may recall, our fearless leader, Al, is out of town, so I'll be
filling in (as a fearful leader?) tonight. Hopefully, I can keep things
going smoothly. Maybe I should find a Sergeant-At-Arms for the night! Well,
just be patient with me; I'm not quite sure how to fill Canadian shoes! And
I'm not sure I can provide the same caliber of jocularity, so maybe we'll
get a double dose from Al next month!

Giveaway Table - You may remember that Al suggested that we have such a
table at our meetings. I believe we were to start it this month. I'd like
to start it slowly, so we're not having a large pile of stuff in the front
of the auditorium. If you have something small, or a few small somethings,
that you would rather find a good home for rather than just throw it/them
away, feel free to bring it in. We plan to have a table available for that
(even if we must borrow it from the break room). But please remember, if it
doesn't find a new home, the owner needs to then remove it at the end of
the meeting - I sure don't want to have to throw the stuff away!

One more reminder - Kate, WB9BAH, is holding the swapfest committee
meeting at 6:00 PM - just prior to the general meeting - since Saturday's
meeting was cancelled due to vehicular re-arrangement in last week's
snowstorm. Volunteers are always welcome - we SURE need the help!

Thanks, see you tonight, and 73.
