[PPRAANet] Freezoree Cancelled

Hello everyone,

Well, I know now that people actually do read these messages!  I had
forgotten that attachments cannot be sent over the reflector, but within an
hour 7 people had let me know.  Not bad for a Sunday evening!

Below please find the text of the message sent to Mike WV7T cancelling the
Freezoree.

Sir/Ma'am,

      I regret to inform you that the USAFA Boy Scout Freezoree 2004 has
been cancelled.  The Boys Scouts Pikes Peak Council made the call to cancel
the Freezoree early this morning.  They based this decision upon the
following factors:

    1. Less Scouts signed up than expected, at this point.

    2. Security issues with base access.

    3. The length of time it took before a location was firmed up.



I sincerely apologize for this disappointment.  I thank you for the efforts
that you have already put into this.  I hope to keep in touch, and I
especially hope that you will be as willing to participate in the freezoree
next year as you were this year.



I will be doing an after-action report and including all of the contacts
that I made this year in the report.  I hope to hold a Cadet In Charge
position with the freezoree next year and will be available for you to
contact.  My cell phone number is 719-659-8471.  My duty phone is
719-333-4551.  If for some reason I am not associated with the freezoree
next year, I will still be able to direct you to who is.
