[PPRAANet] PPRAA Meeting this Wednesday!

Hello everyone,

Just a reminder that the first meeting of the PPRAA in 2004 will take place
this Wednesday, 14 January at the El Paso County Office of Emergency
Management, 305 South Union Blvd.  The meeting starts at 1900 (that's Two
Bells into the Evening Watch for the navy folks!).

In addition to a funny but brief business meeting which will introduce our
new "Technical Talk" feature, we will have an excellent guest speaker.  Jim
Pierson, N1SZ, will talk to us about Broadband over Powerline, or BPL as it
is known.  Jim is an engineer with Spectrum Management & Interference
Products in Englewood CO, and has a lot of practical experience in the
field.  He's also an avid VHF/UHF contester, and so understands the impact
of BPL on Amateur Radio.  BPL has been described as the biggest threat ever
to Amateur Radio, and so it is very important that we all know about it.  I
hope to see you all there!
