Subject: New Section Emergency Coordinator
I have appointed Rob Roller, N7LV to succeed Mike Morgan, N5LPZ as
Colorado Section Emergency Coordinator effective immediately. Rob is an
Amateur Extra class operator from Colorado Springs. First
licensed in 1978 as WB7WHT, Rob has been active in emergency service
communications throughout his ham radio 'career'. While serving in the
U.S.A.F. as a SATCOM officer, he was Installation MARS Director at
Hanscom AFB (MA). He has served in staff and leadership positions in
Colorado including District Emergency Coordinator, East Slope, Colorado
ARES; Chair of the Pikes Peak FM Assn.; President of the Pikes Peak
Radio Amateur Assn.; and Asst Emergency Coordinator for District 14
ARES. Rob is also the latest recipient of the Colorado Section Amateur
Operator of the Year for his tireless efforts in managing the resources
necessary to support the South Command for the Hayman fire. N7LV is an
Official Emergency Station, and Rob is also a Volunteer Examiner. He
holds a BSEE from the University of Nevada and a commercial General
Radiotelephone license. Please welcome Rob to the Colorado Section
Cabinet and support his
efforts to maintain the high level of training and effectiveness of the
Amateur Radio Emergency Service in Colorado.
