[PPRAANet] PPRAA Foxhunt this Sunday!

Hello Everyone,

We will have a Foxhunt this Sunday, 29 March, 1300 (1:00 PM) at the Yucca
Flats parking area of Palmer Park.  This will be an introductory hunt on two
different bands:

  - The HF hunt will be on 3.579 MHz
  - The 2-Meter hunt will be on 146.64 MHz.

There will be no scoring for minimum distance etc., as this is just a warm
up hunt to dust off those hunting skills and try some new bands.  This will
also be a hunt on foot, so be prepared for a little walking and remember,
you will have to carry whatever you are going to hunt with so try to keep it
small and light.

Bill Petty, N0NJX hopes to have two HF DF antennas and radios with him and
one 2-Meter beam setup for use by anyone without equipment.  A map of the
park and a diagram showing how to build a simple 80 meter loop antenna will
soon be posted on the PPRAA website.

This is open to anyone and everyone.  Remember - you don't have to be
licensed to participate, so this is a great family activity.  Hope to see
