As the Colorado Section Traffic Manager (STM), and in partnership with
Duane, NN7H, the Wyoming Section Traffic Manager, I am announcing the
formation of a section traffic net combining the sections of Colorado
and
Wyoming. This net will be a part of the National Traffic System (NTS)
and will have liaison into and out of the NTS.

The purpose of the net is to be a traffic net, without a roll-call, that
normally meets for less than 20 minutes (depending on traffic) and
fulfills NTS and/or ARES formal traffic needs and will support training
and formal message traffic into, out of and within the Colorado and
Wyoming sections.

The net will be called the "Colorado Wyoming Traffic Net" (CWTN) and
will be an SSB net. The net will meet daily at 1915 mountain time on a
frequency of 3928 KHz.

The starting date for the net is set for Monday, February 16, 2004.

I will start out as the net manager with Duane, NN7H, as assistant
net manager.

I still need some Net Control Stations (NCS) and liaison stations.
The liaison out of the CO/WY sections will be via the Twelfth Region
Net (TWN) or the Mountain States Net (MSN). These nets are CW nets
and MSN is a slow speed net.

Please forward this information to anyone you think may be interested
in joining the net.
