Subject: QRP Field Day - This Saturday- FYBO

One of the 2 great QRP Field Days is this Saturday 2/7/04, starting 9 am
MST.

It is the FYBO QRP Field Day.
(Someone could video tape this for the next QRP Survivor TV Show).
The rules are at http://www.extremezone.com/%7Enk7m/fybo04.htm

QRP HF Only. CW or SSB (5W max). Near QRP calling freqs (no WARC bands),
i.e.: 7040, 14060, 21060 cw; 7285, 14285, 21385 ssb...
Categories: Single Op (Home/Field), Multi Op (Home/Field), Multi-Multi
(Club)
Stations.
Work stations once per band. Score 1 point per QSO.

Exchange RST, State, first name, power out, and temperature (Fahrenheit) at
OPERATOR'S POSITION. Indoor stations must report INDOOR temperature.
There is a 6X multiplier for temperatures below 20F.

Example: 579 AZ Frosty 2W 40F

KG5N and i will be operating out of the 9000 foot snow covered hills at the
Mueller State Park. You are invited to join us, There are plenty of picnic
areas around the Park so we can have plenty of spacing between operating
sites,
Bring your QRP
rig and some hot coffee. This is a wilderness experience, There won't be any
noisy generators or cook stoves :<

We will have the KG5N Sierra and the Elecraft KX1 in operation.
If you get lost call us on 146.52..

The other QRP Field Day is QRP to the Field (QRPTTF) which occurs in the
summer time.
