Barb,

Don Erickson (WB0IMH) is still living here in Colorado
Springs, to the 
best of my knowledge.  As Jeff points out, Don used to
be the main 
point of contact for the UCCS club about 10 years ago.
 According to the 
phone book, his number is 591-8884.  Might be worth
calling him directly.

Another ham that has been involved in that club is
Randy Musselman 
AA9JP.  Randy's now a professor at the USAFA, so you
can probably get his 
phone number from the Academy operator.

The UCCS radio club used to host Skywarn training in
one of the UCCS 
classrooms and other things, but when these folks
retired or moved, the 
club went dormant.

My guess is you'd probably need a sponsor that's on
the staff at UCCS.  
Dr Sega would be a good choice.  Maybe you can talk to
him and get him 
to sign on as a sponsor, even if he doesn't get
involved with the 
day-to-day stuff.  Or, maybe Don or Randy can also
identify another faculty 
member that would sponsor the club.  Doesn't
necessarily have to be a 
ham, so any professor could do it if you could talk
him/her into it.
