I hope this is an appropriate use for these reflectors. Forgive me if I am
making a faux-pas.

Ooops. Forgive me extra an extra measure for using french.

---

I am new to the amateur radio thing, but I am really enjoying it so far. I
have attended the Skywarn training and the PPARES MEAT training and am
enthusiastically pursuing all of the contents of my "Go-Bag". I have been
purchasing the recommended supplies as I have extra money. I recently got a
Kestreel 3000, a nice set of maps for the surrounding areas, an external
mag-mount antenna for my HT, and a nice carrying case for it all (an old
ammo can with a fresh coat of paint). The one elusive thing so far has been
a nice, dual-band mobile radio for my pickup.

I have been looking on EBay, but I am dismayed at the number of people on
EBay who are willing to pay more for a used radio, than they could spend for
a brand new one at HRO.

Anyway, if anybody out there has a dual-band, or two meter mobile rig that
they have outgrown and stuffed in the garage, I'd sure like an opportunity
to buy it. I figure there has to be people out there who, after they get a
new rig, just box up their old stuff and stick it out of sight. If that's
the case, I'd like to hear from you.

Thanks!
