There is a new Yaesu/VERTEX manpack radio now available. It is the VX-1210.  
Sells for $2100 US plus shipping.
It is a sealed radio, 20W SSB, Built in Antenna Tuner, Li-Ion Batts, Light 
weight...Cool.....

The package contains the following:

1-VX-1210 HF Radio, with Battery (Lithium Ion) and Charger 110-240 VAC
1-ATU-1210 Internal Antenna Tuner
1-FHA-27 Folding Whip Antenna
1-GN-1210 Goose Neck Connector
1-CSC-78 Shoulder Bag for VX-1210 Radio

This is going to be a replacement for the FT-897 and FT-817.

The VX-1200 has no VFO, only 500 Channels,
The newer VX-1210 has provisions for tuning around.
