[PPRAANet] Hamfest Planning Meeting this Saturday

Kate asked me to send a note to all reminding everyone of the hamfest
planning kickoff meeting this Saturday, at 9 am, at the CSPD Falcon Station,
7850 Goddard St.

This will be the first planning meeting for next year's hamfest.  There are
some issues to discuss, such as the prizes, date (before or after the RMD
Convention), and possibly even a location.  Currently we're still planning
on Lewis-Palmer High School where they can support a post-convention date.
If it's decided to have the hamfest before the convention, though, then we
may need to consider another location.  Some ideas are for folks that have
contacts at schools with ham clubs to seek out those contacts and see if
they would be willing to host a hamfest.  Nothing's firm yet, but we need to
nail down some things.

If you have some ideas or thoughts, let Kate know.  And, of course, if you
can contribute some time to the hamfest planning, please come by the meeting
this weekend.  The more, the merrier!

BTW, if you've gone through the state-sponsored games manager training (for
the raffle), please let me know.  I'd like to put together a list of folks
that have been through this training.  If you still have your certificate,
can you make a copy of it and bring it with you to the meeting (or the next
meeting we see you at) so we can put them in our notebook?
