Mike,
I whole heartedly agree with your decision.
Lets get put our field energy into supporting the fire efforts.

Subject: PPARES: Field Day
Good morning all.
After discussing it with the PPRAA president and a number of
the PPRAA board members, the decision has been made to
cancel our involvement with the ARRL Field Day this year due
to the fire emergencies in Colorado. The situation does not
seem to be getting any better and, as you all know, we have
smoke in Colorado Springs. People have been advised to stay
indoors whenever possible because of the smoke. In
addition, much help is still needed with ARES, RACES and
non Amateur Radio organizations.
Operators are urged to volunteer your capabilities with
ARES, RACES (if you are a member) or to any other
agency that needs help.
This is an unprecedented move on our part, but, due
to the fires, we think it is the proper action.
73, Mike Stansberry, PPRAA/MARC Field Day Coordinator
