Hello All

Here is a list of entry level ham license classes in the East Valley,
Down Town at the Arizona Science Center and the west side....
Please do keep in mind that a ham license is NOT required to
be a spotter !!!!

Ham Radio Technician License Course
Tuesdays, Jan 8th Thur February 19th
LDS Church 39th Ave and Greenway
15016 N. 39th Ave Phoenix, Arizona

The course will cover all you need to know to pass your Technician Class
exam. We will meet each Tuesday night for 7 sessions from 7:00 PM till
8:30
PM and at the end of the 7th session will be VE tests. You can become a
licensed Technician operator in just 7 weeks.

The required text for the course is the ARRL Ham Radio License Manual
Level
1 Technician, second edition. It is available from ARRL or HRO Phoenix.
There is no fee for the course. The exam fee is currently $15.00.

The West Valley ARC VE Team will be doing the Testing at the end of the
class.

AMATEUR - HAM RADIO LICENSE CLASSES STARTING SOON

The Amateur Radio Club at Venture Out and members of the Sun Life
Amateur
Radio Club are working together to offer FCC License classes at Venture
Out
beginning on Tuesday January 08, 2013. No Morse Code is required.
Afternoon
classes starting at noon will be 2 1/2 hours long, Tuesday's and
Thursday's
for 6 weeks until Tuesday February 12, 2013. Testing will be on Thursday
February 14, 2013. All classes and testing will be at the Venture Out
Electronics building. Proven successful study materials are published by
Gordon West W5YI, and can be purchased in advance locally or ordered at
the
January 8 first class date. There is a nominal class fee of $10.oo.
