[PHX-Skywarn] Skywarn Recognition Day

  The  NWS in Phoenix will again take part in this year's
Skywarn Recognition Day (SRD)...and like last year
we will use the  call sign  WX7PHX.  We are located in
the  SRP  Administration Building,  at 1521 N. Project
Drive,  Tempe.  If you plan to come in,  be sure to call or
email  Steve Sipple (  602-275-7002  ext 537)  and
say  WHEN YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME.  This
is necessary to complete the Visitors List for the
Security Team at  SRP.

All NWS offices taking part in this Special Event,
as well as all details,  can be found in

This year's SRD  will begin at  5 pm Friday Dec 6th,
and last until  5 pm Saturday Dec 7th.   You do not
have to be a ham radio operator to attend. There are
just a few time slots still open, but they are going fast.
Call or email Steve  if you are interested in coming in.
We want to limit the number of visitors at any one time,
so be sure to coordinate your plans with Steve.
This is an opportunity to see your local Forecast
Office and get to know some of  the other spotters
in our County Warning Area(CWA).
