Hello all!

I forgot to send the reminder about this week's Simplex Net. I
am in the process of setting up a Monday reminder in outlook so that I
don't forget that anymore. Eric thank you for running the net even
though we all forgot to check in.
Eric and I made it up to the EOC on Weds in the rain and Eric
checked out the roof and added some more patching material at the bases
of the tripods. He reported success in the endeavor. While he was up
working in the rain on the roof I was down talking with Darla. We have
2 events coming up that 1 of them is a MUST make deal. The first event
is a storm spotter class on March 14th at 7pm. If you would like to
attend you must call the EOC and reserve your seat as seating is
limited. They would like a name and call back #. They will call and
confirm just prior to the training to make sure you will still be able
to attend so they can give your seat to someone else if you have
something come up.
The MUST make event is June 8th. It will run most of the day
but I believe lunch will be provided. This is the yearly full scale VX
disaster training. Darla has asked us come up with something that will
kind of highlight us and create some traffic. I suggested maybe we
could help/welfare traffic from one or two of the shelters which would
have us relaying to the Red Cross and someone else in the command room.
2 of us will have to be at the EOC for most of the day. One to operate
radios and the other to Liaison with the rest of the EOC. We will need
1 or more to go out in the county and operate mobile, maybe from a
shelter or what ever we decide. We will have to work out the details.
The mobile person should be good for just a couple of hours and
shouldn't have to be there the entire time.
We have to get the paperwork done for the state/feds yet and
then we need to finish up the weather station. Don't forget Monday Jan
24th at Pizza City/Uptown Pizza/name of the month here.

Brandon
