[PCR-1000] UT 106 DSP Install - humm?

Nope.  If installed per the instructions (leave the insulation on) you
shouldnt have a problem with hum.  You DO need to have a good "cold water"
ground system though.  I have a buss bar system that runs the length of my
"shack" and is attached by #6 solid copper cable to the outside water pipe
which in-turn is attached to our ground-water well that is some 120 feet
below the surface.  Works very well for the entire shack and has done so for
20 years.

Dont count on ICOM to respond, as they stopped tech support.... or any
response for that matter... over a year ago for the 1000.

ICOM's attitude problem, is one of the main reasons I will NEVER buy any of
their "rigs" again.  I will stick to Yaesu, AOR, and TenTech which have
proven customer response for many years.  ICOM sucks in N. America. :-(
