[PCR-1000] Is there a universal key for "free" TalkPCR somewhere?

I found a "patch.exe" file that will remove the nag from 2.92.  Won't work on 2.99 though. Other than the stated multiple sound card options, darned if I can see what has changed from 2.4 to 2.99.
