You are correct that the Japanese versions are not cellular blocked.

I have had one for about six months and I love it for what I need, which is
as a spectrum analyzer.  It works great.

I have been reading on the net of issues with the EPROM in these units. The
new units are shipping with "Bonita software Ver 4.5"
I am new to this forum and would like feedback on how well this unit works.
Is the unit sold in Japan better that the US unit? Im told the Japan model
is Unblocked.
