What sorts of remote use is being used with the ICOM PCR-1000?

 

How long can the RS232 cable be (what is the limit per the standard?)?

How long can a USB 1.0 or 2.0 cable be (between a PC or laptop that does not
have a RS232 port on it) from the USB-to-Serial converter to the ICOM
PCR1000?

 

Is anyone using WIRELESS techniques where longer reliable communication is a
proven technique for communicating wirelessly with the PCR1000?
