Dear Sirs,
I have been using my PCR 1000 with a shareware version and decided to go for
the unrestricted free version 2.4F.
It worked immediately but after a day or 2 I failed to connect to the the
COM port. None of the ports could be connected to. Have tried to de-install
and re-install the old shareware version but the old shareware version as
well delivered the same problem. Since than NO WAY to get the PCR 1000
working again...
Any idea on what has happened ? The software "struck" or just a coincidence
with this tech problem ?
Any answer is highly appreciated.

Hi Mark,
that's brilliant - thank!
I just tried what you suggested and now it works perfectly, this is exactly
what I wanted to do.
Thanks to everyone else who offered help and suggestions on this matter,
Best wishes,
Martin Francis <><

Subject: TalkPCR freeware/registration issue
Hi Martin,
I had trouble with the free version when I tried to install it over an
existing shareware version. It kept asking for registration, etc.
As I recall, I had to do a complete uninstall, and then removed all traces
of the previous version (delete the folder manually).
Then, installation of the full install from here
http://www.qrosoft.co.uk/tpv20/tpv24f02.zip went just fine. I no longer
get the box about registering.
Maybe that is worth a try.
Good luck,
Mark
