Hi David. A subject that has been brought up many times here is the
overly-sensitive front end of the PCR1000... I didn't catch what software
you're using, but if it has the "attenuator" function, by all means use
it, especially below the VHF ranges.
Digital radios tend to do funny things when you overload them...
Most any decent longwire or beam-type antenna will crunch the PCR in the
HF bands - try cutting back on the signal strength - in some instances a
5K pot across the antenna will do for severe noise in your local area.
